Hi folks. It’s no secret that I’ve been pretty quiet on the blog in the last few months. The combination of work (some weeks have been 50-60 hour work weeks) and some changes in my personal life have led me to buckle down and focus on what really matters, and unfortunately that has meant that Eat, Write, Go has had to take the back seat.

| BEAUTY IS | Beauty is a bird in the oven. Beauty is a simple rub of salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and ichimi togarashi pepper. Beauty is a cold glass of Gruner, just-too-loud Motown classics, and a kitchen cleaning dance party while the aroma of roast chicken fills the house. Beauty is Monday nights spent centering.  I feel beautiful tonight. How about you?

Going forward I am going to focus more on my mobile presence, both through Instagram and Twitter. This blog will stay up, and will feature the occasional recipe and event. It is my goal to get back to longer form essays and explorations of the culinary topics that excite me, but at this moment in my life I am finding that the short-burst, interactive medium of mobile photography and blogging are really what I need and can handle. Please follow along and continue to check back here every so often, I have some content in the works that should be exciting!

| CHAR | It's been a couple weeks since I've spent any serious time in the kitchen, and tonight (after an epic grocery run) I'm knocking a bunch of things off my to-cook list. First up I'm working on a new recipe for what I'm calling a Charred Summer Salad. Stay tuned for full results and a printable recipe on my blog soon!
